Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Finance, or equivalent experience
• 2 years of demonstrated experience in category management or related experience in a Consumer Package Goods (CPG) and/or Fresh Produce environment
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills using statistical analysis managing large amounts of data
• Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel including spreadsheet and pivot tools, custom calculations, charts, and graphs to include in presentations
• Experience with shipment and syndicated data, proficient in shopper/panel data analysis
• Proficiency with 3rd party syndicated data sources such as IRI, Nielsen, and SPINs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint; experience with PowerBI is a plus
• Willingness to be in the market and visit multiple retail locations to capture product and merchandising images

Accountabilities

1. Support delivery of formal category reviews to the customer, identifying current state, business drivers and opportunities for growth.
2. Partner with Sales, Account Management, and Marketing teams to develop strategic business and category reviews, providing clear insights and recommendations for growth opportunities.
3. Build data-driven selling materials and review plans with sales teams for key retailers.
4. Identify insights and emerging business opportunities within the brand, category, and retailer landscape.
5. Conduct post-promotional analysis and provide planning support.
6. Analyze category, regional, retailer, and shopper data using available data sources.
7. Provide Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing and Shelving insights and recommendations.
8. Incorporate consumer/shopper insights into analysis and selling stories.
9. Understand retailers' brick-and-mortar and digital/E-commerce strategies, business needs, and goals.
10. Maintain custom attributes in syndicated data sources on a monthly basis.
11. Create, update, and distribute monthly reports on category, segment, brand, and retailer performance trends.
12. Support business analysis of seasonal performance nationally and at the retailer level.

Physical Activities/Demands: This position is based in an employee’s home but does involve travel; is primarily sedentary and involves executing typical office related tasks (computer work, communication, analyzing data, etc.). The position requires the ability to occasionally: ascend/descend stairs depending on home layout and the businesses being visited; bend, stoop, squat and kneel; reach for and lift objects to shoulder level up to 25 pounds; walk short distances on firm ground/flooring; drive a vehicle. This position requires the ability to constantly: communicate with others via voice, listen and respond; read and write to receive instruction, document work, heed safety warnings within context of home office and travel destinations; repeat motions with the wrists, hands and fingers; visually inspect work in near/distant scenarios; sit for extended periods.

Environmental Conditions: Physical activities will primarily be performed in a home office, or a climate-controlled customer office/facility.
